Neighbors In Action

Group of volunteers posing outside Fort Washington Food Pantry.

At the Fort Washington Food Pantry, we believe in one simple truth: Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

Our volunteers, known as Neighbors in Action, are at the heart of our community service efforts. From food pantry volunteers preparing meals during the week to those serving families on distribution day, every act of service helps us in our mission of helping families with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Volunteer Opportunities at Fort Washington Food Pantry

Every week, we engage in community service by serving hundreds of households across our community. This vital work would not be possible without our dedicated food pantry volunteers, who generously give their time, energy, and heart to help families in need. Whether you have a few hours each week or prefer to volunteer occasionally, there is a place for you here as part of our neighbors in action initiative, where volunteer support is always welcomed.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds to participate in community service, including:

  • Students,
  • working professionals,
  • churches,
