Located at Rosecroft Raceway, directly across from the Fort Washington Food Pantry, our Community Garden is more than a garden—it's an investment in our neighbors, our environment, and the future of our community.

Together, we're creating a space where fresh food is grown locally, volunteers learn new skills, students earn service hours, and neighbors work side by side to nourish our community.

Because every harvest begins with a single seed.

A Garden with a Purpose

The Fort Washington Community Garden was created to expand access to fresh, healthy produce while bringing people together through service, education, and sustainability.

Fresh fruits and vegetables harvested from the garden will help supplement food distributed through the Fort Washington Food Pantry, ensuring our neighbors have greater access to nutritious food.

This garden represents another step toward building a healthier, stronger, and more connected community.

What We're Growing

Our vision extends far beyond vegetables.

The Community Garden will become a place for:

Fresh produce for pantry distributions
Community volunteer opportunities
Student service-learning hours
Environmental education
Gardening workshops
Partnerships with local schools, businesses, farmers, and community organizations

Help Build Something From the Beginning

We're currently recruiting our Founding Garden Team.

These volunteers won't simply maintain the garden—they'll help build it from the ground up.

The founding team will help:

Design the garden layout
Build planting beds
Select crops
Develop seasonal planting plans
Organize volunteer workdays
Create a sustainable garden program for years to come

Whether you're an experienced gardener or have never planted a seed before, we'd love to have you join us.
